Our wine tasting bar is the first of its kind in the Kansas City region!

How the wine system works

(the quick version)

  1. On your first visit, our team will issue you a free Wine Passport that is yours to keep. When you return, just have us activate you and you’re good to go!
  2. Insert your Passport into the wine machine, position your glass, and select a pour size to dispense any of our wines. Prices for each pour are displayed on the screen.
  3. Explore! Our system will keep track of your selections so you can settle up when you’re done.

The Free Wine Passport

With a menu of 72 wines alongside craft beers, curated spirits, and food accompaniments, Sail Away Wine invites you to embark on a worldwide journey full of tastes, fun and smiles. 

Our unique pay-as-you-go wine dispensing system makes your wine experience relaxing, easy and enjoyable with the freedom to explore on your own.  Our selections are kept fresh, with ever-changing features and vintages, so every visit to Sail Away Wine is like visiting someplace new. 

For the wine tourist, Sail Away Wine provides you with your very own free Wine Passport. This Wine Passport is your key to our wine tasting system, allowing you to dispense one, three, or five ounces of wine at the press of a button, with wine-specific prices displayed on the screen.  The system keeps track of your pours and you can settle up at the end, so nothing gets in the way of your tasting journey. Wondering what a certain wine tastes like? Don’t guess – try just an ounce! Find something you really like? Pour a full glass. Let your taste buds be your guide!

With pours ranging from $1.40 to $10 for that super-expensive bottle of wine you might not otherwise get to try, there is something for everyone at Sail Away.

 

How our wine system works

Our wine is dispensed right from the bottle and uses a system which preserves the wine for up to 30 days.  This provides the opportunity for you to enjoy wine by the ounce without changing its flavour. This isn’t wine from a keg or vat; this is wine right from the bottle — as it was intended.

Wine not your preference? Then order a one or two ounce pour from our curated spirits or select a beer from our craft beer cooler.
